Roberto Paoli, designer, was born in Ancona and graduated in Architecture in Florence in 1994. Among the several steps of the projects dealt with during his studies, he chose to commit himself to the object. So, he decided, after graduation, to go back to Marche, territory rich of productive companies and useful training space for young designers. In those years, Paoli widened his knowledge of sme technologies, such as, stamping of plastic and injections, the glass bending technique: long-lasting collaborations with important brands were born in that period. These experiences form a base of technical and method knowledge on which Paoli imposed his idea of design where functional inventions, technological performance fused with the object shape, often generated by the extreme possibility of the material. The always more frequent relation to Milan, pushed him, in 2002, to move to the city of the design. During this period, he started collaboration with Tucano, where he grew up to his current role of Design Director: Paoli coordinates the entire bags and accessories for notebooks, approaching the company to a new philosophy of products designed paying great attention to materials and functional details (some inventions linked to these projects have been translated to patented industrial products). For some years, Paoli has also collaborated with companies of the illuminating engineering sector.
