Studio Kairos Italy
Studio Kairos comes from a classic greek word meaning: right spot, right place, right time, right measure. Studio Kairos, inspiring to this concept since its foundation in 1980, operates in industrial design and developement, as well as in building and furnishing fields. Kairos also means: Massimo Bonetti, born in Torino in 1949, engineer; Giuseppe Manente, born in Mestre (Venezia) in 1947, architect; Abramo Mion, born in Mirano (Venezia) in 1951, who frequented both architecture and engineering degrees. Studio Kairos got many prizes along his history; among the others we have to mention: "Compasso d'oro" Prize, in 1984 with "Armadio Sisamo". We should also remember, among various nominations in the most famous italian design prize "Compasso d'Oro" , last one in 1998 for the product "Pab" designed for BandB ITALIA. Studio Kairos works and projects for some of the most important italian furnishing companies, like: BandB ITALIA, MOLTENI and C., GRUPPO ARC LINEA, POLIFORM E VARENNA.
Yet creatively expresses its twofold nature of wall light and modular shelf console. The peculiar "Y" shape was designed to exploit the light of a simple fluorescent lamp, through its surface and length. By installing several Yet, you can obtain endless combinations. This fixture comes in white, yellow, orange and grey and a stained polycarbonate shade.
