About Salamander Designs UK

Like so many successful companies, Salamander Designs stemmed from a personal need. Back in 1990, a young designer began searching for furniture to house his home entertainment components. Nothing in the marketplace satisfied him, so he set out to solve the problem for himself.

At Salamander Designs we offer two comprehensive furniture systems. Our original series, the Archetype System, employs a simple yet highly versatile design. It uses threaded-steel support posts and matching fasteners to hold shelves securely while providing infinite vertical adjustability.

Archetype's most important concepts, modularity and modernity among them, also characterize our second furniture line. It's called Synergy System, and it features elegant, extruded-aluminum corner columns and hardwood shelves as well as optional sides, backs and doors. Salamander Designs furniture met with acclaim after its introduction and continues to win praise from magazines ranging from Cigar Aficionado to Stereo Review.
