"I have lived equally in France and the U. S. In both countries over the years I have noticed that rarely is flawless service rendered on the first exchange, if ever. In the first time I corresponded with each of three customer representatives of Wayfair, all immediately understood in detail my request, analysed it and found an equable solution and promptly replied, point by point. Each then acted upon this flawless response to my problem (concerning a different electrical wiring of lamps for which bulbs were not available on the Continent and my roundabout means of return through British neighbours). In both France and in the U.S., the simple explanation of the problem would have been too complex to be read and understood. Wayfair's representatives can read, write, and think; and such "common sense" is indeed uncommon. In the U.S., few can read an email and understand it; further, they are trained to parrot "I apologize" in every sentence, which makes progress even more frustrating. In France, few accord the customer any reasoning and insist upon arguing before they understand what happened. Wayfair genuinely wants the customer to be pleased with one's purchase; there is respect for the customer -- that one does wish to work for a win-win solution and be fair. Such courtesy makes for loyalty on my part -- to continue shopping at Wayfair is itself a pleasant experience."

Your company's immediate response to my complaint (hopefully my email didn't come across as such!) regarding my delivery of the crockery that I ordered was second to none, and the speed of which I received the replacements was admirable. We are quick to complain when things do not go right, but not quick enough with praise when things are remedied both swiftly and with no fuss.
