I think I did rather well for £91. I needed a dress for a wedding in London, a Cornish camping wedding, and for Summer in general. Zalando is a great place to hunt down a specific style of dress, there’s a huge choice so it makes it easy to track down styles and colours that suit you and your budget.
1. Warehouse Chevron Maxi Dress £45
2. Anna Field red Summer Dress £17
3. Vera Moda Grey Summer Dress with yellow spots £29
The Chevron Maxi worked well at a wedding number one. it was one of those days when I didn’t feel ready to bare any part of myself, so cleavage it was. I wanted a maxi dress. It turns out there are a billion maxi dress styles and finding one to flatter a 5’4″ pear shape takes some sifting, which is where Zalando’s huge range comes in dead handy.
I spent a long time looking for an empire line maxi with a V neck. I might have regretted it slightly when my best girlfriends spent much of a drunken evening embarrassing me by pointing out my amazing bust. But hey, what’s a bit of bust between friends, it is a great dress and the paisley pattern is very on trend too.
The red Anna Field summer dress is jersey, so really comfy, and perfect for lazying at the caravan. But it is also smart enough to dress up a bit if needs be.
I love the neon yellow polka dots on this grey Vera Moda dress. I was also really pleased with the length, it comes in just below the knee, so I can see it being a really practical dress for days out with the kids. It is cotton so really cool. Slightly too much material on the bust for my liking, but it has draw strings which allow you to pull it in to create a defined waist.
Anyway which do you like best? I am waiting for the weather report next week to decide which one, or two, get an airing at Britmums Live.
Delivery and returns are free from Zalando, the dresses arrived in 3 days and were well packaged.
