Our plans for a new kitchen keep getting shelved for other projects like a caravan, the dog, a new computer, or quite often just paying the mortgage. However, as Winter creeps in we find ourselves at home more, bumping into each other, trying to prep veg on one tiny surface covered in tea bags and half finished craft projects. So we are lamenting the rubbish design of our kitchen and have promised each other to tackle it in the New Year.
So I would love to say I could personally endorse Betta Living, who asked me to write about their services, but we’re not quite there yet. However lots of their customers do endorse them, so if like us a new kitchen is a New Year dream, then they may be worth a look. The New York range appeals to me, we I like the idea of kitchen being invisible as possible so you can live in it too, look at all that hidden storage!
We have the high ceilings and big space to pull off this look where the house’s previous occupants failed – plonking the leftovers on an ex showroom kitchen in big drafty space does not constitute New York loft apartment.
The Phoenix Aubergine (pictured top) is really nice too, probably because aubergine reminds me of the kitchen in our first flat, we painted the walls the same colour as our favourite bar on Stretham High Road. The ranges cover all tastes and budgets.
Betta Living specialise in fitted kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and home offices as well as having the eStore for accessories. I chose some lovely Morphy Richards red roasting dishes and mini black casseroles to entice the kids to eat stew. How cute are these?
It isn’t easy choosing someone to refit a kitchen, but it is reassuring to know 89% of Betta Living customers would recommend them and they score 4.4 out of 5 from 1666 reviews on Review Centre.
If you arrange a visit now there is still time to get your kitchen by the 5th January, so you could start the year as you mean to go on.
