Excellent piece of furniture for the price. Very sturdy and well built and came without any damage. There was a couple of small chips on one of the handles but was easily hidden with a sharpie! This did take a long time to build as there are lots of dowels, parts and screws - plus with it being pine they had to be hand tightened with no power tools in order not to split the wood. Having said that it has been the most straightforward flat pack furniture assembly I have ever done and the instructions were really clear and all the parts very well labelled. I did find that a couple of the drawers didn’t open and close smoothly and stuck half way when opening and closing. However, by changing the draw runners around rectified this. Arrived quickly but a little disappointed with the chest of drawers. I purchased 2 for our bedroom as they were white and oak which matched our bedroom decor but when we unpacked them they were cream with a very dark oak not like the light oak featured in the pictures. Also the plinth that runs around the bottom giving the chunky appearance to the furniture is very flimsy and when fitted does not fit tight to the unit no matter how tight the screws. The chest of drawers are also very light and consists of cheap wood and not worth the £200 plus price tag, that said once assembled they dont look too bad especially after being painted white and the oak stained panels sanded to a lighter shade, a lot of upcycling for new furniture to get what you ordered.. Took a while to assemble due to problems with some parts being assymetrically cut and screws were difficult to fit into some of the holes as were not long enough. Glad I didnt pay full price! I am quite disappointed, I thought the quality would of been a lot better, Im so glad I got the drawers in the sale, the handles were really cheap and horrible so I bought new ones which make it look less cheap also the wood is quite rough to the touch..
