Cream Tea design jug by Martin Wiscombe. This jug is made from high quality stoneware and is microwave and dishwasher safe with a capacity of 450ml. The design features a delicious plate of scones with jam and mouth-watering clotted cream. A great sized jug for cream or milk or can be used to display flowers. This is designed by Martin Wiscombe who was born and raised in Lyme Regis, Dorset. He takes inspiration from the farmland around and his retro artwork conjures up a lost world of the 1950s.

About the Manufacturer

Established in 1977, ecp design is a leading British Design Company creating new & stylish products. Mugs, jugs, tins, & textiles, wood, glass & much, much more. From retro to rustic, country to contemporary or traditional to trend setting style. The ceramics are made by techniques that have remained unchanged for the past 170 years. The liquid clay is poured into a plaster mould 11% larger than the finished piece. The liquid is left in the mould for 45 minutes, being topped up from time to time as the plaster absorbs water. At the end of the 45 minutes, the mould is tipped, and emptied, but for the film of clay adhering to the inside. This forms the piece of pottery, which is removed, dried, decorated and fired.
