The bulb sits on the end of the chrome stem and base but is hidden directly from sight by numerous suspended clear acrylic droplets that seem to be floating around the light, forming an intricate sparkling globe shape. The droplets reflect and twinkle in the light allowing the light to be dispersed evenly throughout the room. This is an impressive and stunning light when it is or isn't lit.
