I'm a tea drinker, and got this for herbs and spices, and it is perfect for that purpose. If you're interested in coarsely grinding dried herbs, for a stew, you get that after a few one second touches on the pulse button. And thankyou Wayfair for your usual prompt and reliable service. I purchased this in NOVEMBER 2022 and was excited to receive this as I had recently been sent a 1KG bag of coffee BEANS instead of the ground coffee I had ordered, so I thought I'd give this a go. I use the grinder pretty much daily and find I need to grind two rounds of beans for my preferred taste. NOTE: it does not come with instructions as to how to use the nut at the top of the shaft to adjust the grind - I stumbled upon the info looking for another grinder! Now that I have used the grinder virtually daily for about two months, I feel I can fairly review my purchase: It is a very attractive and solid coffee grinder, however, as other reviewers have pointed out: good design is lacking a little... The main issue is the screw and nut closest to the grind wheel - the one that helps to hold the top and bottom of the main unit together - keeps working loose and falling off! So much so, that, I've recently resorted to buying a small array of small Phillips screwdrivers to try to rectify the problem - standard stubby screwdrivers are still too big to reliably insert into the screwhead (even with my small hand!s), so the mini ones are better, but still not ideal; an offset screwdriver is another option, but still a bit tricky as I've discovered. In my humble opinion, this issue of the screw constantly falling out could be solved by simply using a longer screw and better fitting nut: the one used is too shallow to work reliably as intended - it appears to only be there for appearances, rather than practicality... which seems very silly to me. At this price point, such a basic flaw in design is disappointing. In frustration, I THOUGHT about adding superglue to the tip of the screw, but this would just most likely result in the additional problem of causing normal operation vibration stress to snap the screw shaft(s). It is almost (now) a daily chore of screwing it back in (AGAIN!) so it can grind another day... [Sigh!] Although lovely to look at in a vintage / antique-style kitchen, I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend this for daily use as it just doesn't seem to be designed well enough to hold up to that level of use. For OCCASIONAL use, I'm sure it might be okay for the most part... for a while. Sadly, I have just purchased ANOTHER manual coffee grinder as I fear this one won't last much longer after barely two months' use!. Simone. . 2023-01-28 19:10:35
