As a person who is not very good at building furniture (literally only had experience building a floor standing TV stand before this which was really hard for me!) I managed to get this together in about 1 hour and 20 mins. This is because I missed an important step in making the shelves sturdy by not adding the small wooden bits between the shelves for one section of it, I thought the screws would be enough but turns out they aren’t you need to wooden parts to make it sturdy all the way through so I had to unscrew part of it and start again. Just as an FYI you need a screw driver and a hammer as well but all other parts come with it. I didn’t have a hammer so I didn’t nail it to the wall as per the instructions which I think would have made it even more sturdy but I was pretty happy without doing this. I also didn’t put the back panels on as I didn’t have a hammer but because I bought storage cubes to slot into some of the squares I didn’t feel like I needed these as aesthetically I preferred this look. However, if you want to put anything really heavy on this unit like a TV or imac I’d recommend nailing it to the wall otherwise it still holds well with heavy books and other electronics. I also think it looks better horizontally rather than vertically. I bought the storage cubes separately the dimensions of the cubes are 26.5 cm x 26.5 cm x 28 cm. I was super proud of myself for getting it up as I’m hopeless with these things! Really happy with the end look :) super quick delivery took 2 days to get to London.

Perfect size to fill the gap of my fireplace, well made unit and looks great! Really pleased with it.
