It works great as a toy chests for my children’s bedrooms (got 2). Delivery was super fast (2 days) and via DHL. It holds a lot of toys. We made a couple of changes in order to make it more functional and safer for children we changed the hinges for stronger ones that we bought from a famous Swedish shop (*wink wink) and instead of fixing the plastic square feet that came with it, we bought small castors with breaks (25mm x 25mm). The castors make it so much easier to move the boxes around and clean the area behind it and with the breaks on, children can’t move the box around. I still want to add a slow close arm so that it doesn’t catch any fingers when we close the lid.Seems like it’s strong Mdf, but only time will tell…I’ve sat on the lid for a few minutes and it it held my weight (58kg).. The box has loads of space for storage and looks great in my living room. I agree with other reviews that it is very tricky to put together and impossible without the use of a drill. But totally worth it. I can see that if you weren’t extremely careful when putting it together it could easily be wonky or the lid wouldn’t be flush. This bench looks great. It's really pretty and it's got nice storage room. Comfortable pillow to sit on, we chose to have it in living room as it looks very good.
