How to Create a Palm Springs Inspired Bedroom

Blogger Lotte Brouwer from Yes Please Blog shows us how we can recreate the look

Lotte from Yes please Blog is going to show us how to recreate a Californian Dream with her Palm Springs inspired bedroom ideas.  Maybe it is time to pack it all in & move to California; the state of sunshine, Coachella & movie stars.  If this isn't plausible then why not recreate this summer inspired look in your own home?

"I’ve always been a sucker for Palm Springs inspired interiors; it’s the perfect balance between being bright and colourful whilst also being glamorous and chic. Sunny Palm Springs in California has influenced architecture, design and interiors ever since its heyday of the 1930s when Hollywood celebrities famously holidayed there, and these days the look is still very much alive through the works of American designers Kelly Wearstler and Jonathon Adler."

"The style comprises a vibrant mix of hot pinks, minty turquoises and fresh greens with gold or brass accents, tropical greenery (think fiddle leaf figs or indoor palm trees), bold geometric prints, colourful photography and plenty of sculptural and Art Deco inspired furniture thrown in the mix – heaven.  It’s part old-world Hollywood elegance with a minimalist, modern side to it with nice clean lines.

I’ve introduced a little of this style already through various Slim Aarons photography around the house (including his infamous Poolside Gossip print), which makes my space feel happy and summery all year round – even on the grayest and coldest of days."

"Recreate the Palm Springs look in your bedroom or guest bedroom with some of the lovely picks I have chosen from Wayfair."
