Fixed Mount Shower Head Instructions
Step 1: Twist off the old shower head by hand or with an adjustable wrench.
Step 2: Use a sponge to scrub off the old Teflon tape (also called plumber's tape) and wipe the pipe clean.
Step 3: Wrap new Teflon tape around the end of the pipe covering the threads of the pipe.
Step 4: Place the new shower head on and screw it on using your hand.
Step 5: Then use the adjustable wrench to tighten, but don't over-tighten.
Step 6: Turn on the shower head and check for leaks.
Step 7: If there is any leaking, try tightening the shower head more with the adjustable wrench or removing the shower head and adding more Teflon tape.
Tip: If you're worried about causing damage to the plumbing, make sure to gently unscrew the shower head when removing it.
Adjustable & Handheld Shower Head Instructions
Step 1: Remove existing shower head and clean off old Teflon tape.
Step 2: Place the new shower head or handheld base and screw it on by hand, similar to a fixed-mount shower head.
Step 3: Connect the flexible shower hose to the mount and to the handheld shower.
Step 4: Tighten the connections by hand and place the handheld shower in the mount.
Step 5: Turn on the water and check for leaks. For adjustable shower heads, move the shower head around to make sure there are no leaks using the full range of motion.
Step 6: If there is leaking, tighten the shower head and hose connection until there are no leaks, or remove the main shower head and add more Teflon tape.
