On the Table
Keep it classic with your decorations—embrace black and white as a base then add gold, silver and metallic tones for a touch of opulence.
Evoke the glamour of the red carpet with a table runner, and light the whole thing up with candlelight in ornate candlesticks.
It's all about time-honoured style—break out the best cutlery and decorate with fresh-cut flowers in your fanciest vases.
On the Menu
Hors d'ouevres and little bites before the meal will set the scene and get you into the party spirit. Try a version of classics like deviled eggs, latkes and roasted artichokes.
Smoked salmon is a favourite of Wolfgang Puck (official caterer of the Oscars for the 21st year in a row). Serve yours with a chilli and lemon dressed salad (on an assymetric plate for maximum style points).
Dark chocolate cupcakes are the order of the day at the Academy Awards so why not follow suit? Decorate yours black, white and gold to match your décor for the evening.
