This product is perfect for creating a warming glow for pathways and buildings, as well as deterring intruders. This LED bulb (included) is switched on automatically by the built-in infrared motion sensor. It will only activate by a heat source (people and animals) and not create false alarms from objects that may blow past it in the wind. Features an override function so you can use it as normal light when required by switching the main switch on and off twice within 2 seconds.

To start, the replacement process with Wayfair is 2nd to none. I've had three of these and they all have the same sensitivity fault. The lights come on at night detecting movement in excess of 15m, which considering the sensitivity range is meant to be between 2m and 8m! On one of the replacements one of the wires had split away from the electrical connector, so I had to remake that with the help of a bit of solder to seal the frayed wires back into a singular entity. If not the wire would have broken away at install or soon after. Ended up having to give up with the sensitivity feature, relying on white electrical tape covering the upper half of the sensor to reduce the sensitivity to about 4m. My neighbour opposite had (nicely) complained to me to stop the thing constantly going off as she was a light sleeper! No more complaints now luckily. Apart from the non functional sensitivity settings, the light is otherwise pretty good. DON'T ORDER WARM WHITE BULB, as it looks silly against the cool white base LEDs, I ended up buying a cool white e27 bulb. So much better looking with a cool white light top and bottom. The upper cover is plastic, would have been better if glass, but not noticeable once up. Probably would have made the lamp a bit heavy I guess as well as more expensive? SO to sum up, if you don't care if a passing aeroplane can trigger the light at night, and you have no neighbours opposite, go for it, but order cool white bulbs.. Joseph.
