Beautiful, heavy, and classy-looking lamp which is great quality and value for money. I like the switch being on the plug cable, which is clear, so you don't have to fiddle about underneath/inside the shade. I've changed the white shade for a pink velvet one so it fits in with my bedroom decor. (I bought it to replace a very expensive lamp base from another retailer because the switch had broken with very few uses!) This lamp is taller, heavier and altogether more impressive than the previous one - the glass elements sparkle in daylight and in the artificial light thrown when the lamp is switched on.
