Stunning fire. Really happy with it. So cozy with real looking flames. Only criticism is you get very few of the firebed options. Will probably end up buying more "sticks" & "white pebbles" for better effect but still lovely to have the choice. For what you pay for the fire its abit tight that the remote doesn't come ready with batteries. LOVE the fire itself though. Contemporary brass effect finish Kansas Optiflame Electric Fireplace with Optiflame technology and a real coal fuel bed instantly warms and modernises any standard fireplace. The flame effect can be used independently of the heat settings for that relaxing fire ambience throughout the year.

The actual fire is wonderful with very realistic flames. However although we measured the fireplace inset hole many times, when the fir arrived it would not fit in the inset. The measurements given for the back of the fire (the part to set into the surround) did not take account for the extra centimetre or so from bottom of inset to base of fire. The mood lighting allows the user to choose from 13 different stationary colors - including an option that cycles slowly through the colors. The product comes with a digital display which includes a -day programmer, a thermostat with a display, a room-temperature sensor, open window detection, and adaptive start control, which turns on the heater to warm the room ready for the programmed start time. The heater automatically switches between 1 and 2kW depending on the room temperature and the temperature required.
