It's nice looking and "fairly" simple to assemble. But the middle shelves and drawer are not tall enough to stand a DVD upright. The top has a little bit of a rough texture and looks a little less nice. But overall, I like it and it looks good.

This TV stand is absolutely beautiful in person. I had been looking for months for a nice looking TV stand that wasn't going to be too expensive, but better than IKEA furniture. I know that you get what you pay for and less expensive items will not be high quality, but this one was just disappointment after disappointment. Putting it together wasn't that hard. I'm a late twenties lady and did it myself in about 2 hours - if you can't follow the instructions or have a difficult time putting it together I question how you've survived in life thus far. The pieces were clearly marked and arrived unscathed for the most part - there were some minor knicks on the shelves, but I just made sure to put them in so those were at the back and wouldn't be seen. The annoyance began when the final touches were being made.. #1 The two front corners of the very top part would not sit flush. I tried readjusting it multiple times, but still would not go down (the back two corners sit nice and tight as they should. Now this in and of itself is not a big issues and I would learn to live with it, but alas more problems arise.. #2 The bottom middle drawer does not work. I put the tracks on as instructed and everything seems to fit fine, but something towards the end of the track apparently has an issues because now I cannot pull the drawer out. It's stuck in the unit. Hindsight, maybe I should have tried sliding the drawer on the tracks to see if there were any issues before it's fully in the shelving unit, but silly me for thinking they would work fine. They're two measly drawer tracks, but they are currently mightier than I - looks like I'm going to have to break the drawer to remove it from the TV stand - one component of this TV stand that really sold me will now be useless - though silver lining I will still have the shelf to use for storage (I'll just have to keep it more organized since it will be visible.. bummer. #3 One of the smaller shelves for the side units does not fit. It's about 0.5 to 1 inch too large for the space. I tried everything to slant it in and push it down, but it will not budge.. I will have to try and sand it down to make it fit, but since it's only particle board, I have no clue how much damage this will cause and how much of the brown color will peel away. So glad I purchased furniture I have to sand down to make it fit.. #4 the overall pieces don't seem to have been cut correctly, because once I put the doors on, there is a clear gap so that it doesn't sit flush to the side panel. While I don't think (or hope) that I am not the majority of customers, I clearly got a bad egg when they made the pieces for this TV stand. Now I know it's not suppose to be great quality furniture, but for $250 I expect to at least not have to break or sand down pieces of it in order to use every aspect of it. I posted some photos of the construction process and end result (please note I sprayed the glass doors to get that frosted look, the doors come with clear glass) - It's a great looking piece if only all the pieces worked..

Putting this together was a hassle and would definitely require 2 people; but if you are not handy with building things then expect to take a few hours on this. Also, the instructions were emailed to me, so I recommend printing them out before attempting. I also had 2 screws missing that could help balance the drawer, so its a little crooked. I bought it on sale as a non-returnable item so I get what I paid. Depsite the set up hassles and the 2 screws missing, I REALLY like this TV. I have a 58" TV on here and the stand is suppose to hold 60". I get compliments on it for its style; I love the how the windows display the the books I accumulated from college/grad school. This stand is a lovely addition to my living room so I recommend!
