Instructions were complicated. Each item wasn’t labelled so had to guess which was which. Ended up looking rubbish so dismantled. Would not recommend

The package is fairly compact and does not exceed 80 cm, which means the shelf is not structurally very strong unless you add reinforcements. Although the photos make it look quite solid, in reality you need to fit brackets and other fixings to strengthen it properly. I had to do this for my own needs, and now it can hold heavy items, but as it is originally designed – with panels limited to 80 cm – the boards are not particularly resistant. Assembly is also a bit labour-intensive. While the package is small and convenient, once you lay out the panels and reach the full dimensions of the unit, you really need an open space to lay it down flat and assemble everything properly. The material is just chipboard with a melamine finish. The fixings are acceptable, and mine arrived without any damage, but don’t expect much durability unless you reinforce it and do a bit of DIY engineering.

The unit once assembled shows lines where the parts join together. The instructions are worthless as the parts have NO labels, the joints fit very badly

The colour is absolutely perfect but the design needs to be sorted I have had to add extra bits of woods to hold the books as it was bowing

This is the second item purchased from VidaXL. This time I didn’t realise. The quality is poor, looks okay once put up but building this is difficult and unclear. I wouldn’t purchase this again
