Console Table

First off, don't buy open box items. This was my first attempt trying their open box purchases. It clearly stated that the item was "carefully inspected" to ensure it is not damaged or anything else. This thing came in pieces. One of the drawer handles is broken completely off (I will need to replace the pulls), the rear right corner is in pieces, and those pieces were known because there was writing on at least one of them. I feel played and makes me doubt purchasing from wayfair again despite spending thousands with them historically. This might be real wood, but it doesn't seem solid as when you look at the broken pieces, it looks like it is partical board and rotted in parts at that. You get what you pay for - this wisdom still applies. Live and learn. Even if this were brand new and not open box I would not purchase again just because it seems like the description isn't entirely accurate.

I was super happy with this. My room is kind of an antique french look (not toooo country, but with warm wood accents.) I really, really loved the look of this writing desk. I love mango wood, generally. The desk drawers are a little cheap, and there is a large crack in the top desk where there is a big knot in the wood. I didn't notice it before, but I think it's OK, it kind of makes it look more authentic. Overall, I am thrilled with this purchase. I looked for ages for an antique writing desk that actually fit, and it was a huge hassle. This one fits all my needs. The only downside is that when I open the drawers, I'm always a bit disappointed that the bottom of the drawer is just pressboard and not real wood. BUT - the price, the price, the price was too good to be true. Recommended.
