Retzlaff Solid Wood Storage Bench

Absolutely shocking product. I ordered two and both were damaged - hinges completely cracked at the back wood totally splintered at the hinge. I noted other reviews commented about damage, and I took a chance that they’d be delivered fine, but they really weren’t. I was so careful unwrapping due to the comments I had noted, but it didn’t make a difference. The product was seriously damaged. All that said, Wayfair were brilliant about it immediately issued a refund. But, as far as products go - avoid avoid avoid. I Would give zero stars but it’s not an option.

It is absolutely beautiful but the first time it was delivered it arrived broken beyond repair, with the wood bent and the second time the front panel was tipping forward because the nails were all bent inside and so couldn’t go in all the way so it was clear that the problem was with the manufacturer. It is beautiful that I have now requested a third replacement and really hoping for the best but clearly there is something wrong with this company. Shame.

Bench arrived well packed and before it’s due date. However, there was a 40 cm crack on seat and when I returned it I received a refund. Bench is well finished and a pity about the crack. The colour is more cream than grey as described. The paint on the wood is distressed and unlike modern minamalistic furniture which lacks character.

Well made and lovely detail. Colour listed as light grey, but I would describe it as more or a cream. Would have liked it to come with a cushion to fit.
