I have a deep sofa and I can sit back on it and still reach my cup of tea on the coffee table ( which I'm sure you'll agree is mission-critical!). this allows me to bring my tea never , and my phone , and the telly remote and is light enough to be easily moveable. I deducted one star because, as other people has said, there were a couple of rough corners that had not been smoothed off. made little substantive difference to ne as I plan to rub down and stain a little warmer to match my other furniture

The table can be stood either vertically as shown in the picture, or horizontally. Vertically it looks like a table stood on it's end, until you place items onto it. The box and contents state that this is a 'Supper' table and I agree it's a good height for TV dinners! Quality control is not great, be careful to check the item for manufacturing defects and cosmetic damage.
