Crinium Daybed

First I had to deal with Wayfair customers service because the bed arrived damaged on delivery and I refused to receive,Wayfair customer service arranged a replacement ASAP .Second the bed had some fault on 2 bolts (were to short to fit with the screw washer )from the part of the bed lifting system and they made me an offer( 15-20 refund ) to keep the bed . Third and the worst that could happened is that the bolts from the main part of the liftingsprings system popped out from the side and I don’t find it safe anymore and also the springs are affected ,because they are to short for such a big pressure on 9 springs on one side (18 in total ) . Over all I’m sorry to say that I’m very disappointed as the full price was 780£(no mattress included in the price) . Very poor quality!

Happy with the finished product although construction is not for the faint-hearted. It says it requires three people to assemble it however I managed 95% of it on my own and with a bit of planning, a second person is useful when it comes to manouvering the two halves around the room. I managed to construct the double bed version entirely in a room which is only 13ft by 8ft. The hardest part is following the instructions, they are not particularly clear in places and the "magnified" bits could do with being 2x larger. One step is particularly baffling where it expects you to screw a large nut in at either side but doesn't explain that you do it from the opposite side (well I did anyway because it was impossible to do it any other way). Some of the wooden holes didn't line up perfectly with the metal frame so I had to enlarge them slightly with a drill. Also some of the screws are already screwed into the pieces rather than being in the bags so you can be hunting around for things which are hiding in plain sight. Once constructed and in place the bed feels solid, the mechanism works well, in fact the springs are so powerful that until you get the bed flat it feels like it would catapult shut if you get go of it! The straps which hold the mattress in place seem like a bit of an afterthought, there are no pre-drilled holes to fix them in place and you just basically screw them to the wood, it'd look nicer using steel screw cup washers.

This is an awesome space saving bed. It looks stylish and I’m just awaiting a new mattress to add to it. It seems sturdy but is attached to the wall so beware it needs to be on a solid strong wall rather than just plasterboard. Assembly needs to be done by a professional and takes a long time (about 8 hours) with poor instructions. The springs seem too strong but once assembly is complete, it seems to be necessary to have that much strength so the bed stays up when not in use. It’s expensive but really useful if just to be used my guests as it’s nice and compact when closed.

Very pleased with the look and quality of the item but took two of us 3 days to build it! We are both very practical and have had several years of building flat pack items but this really tested us! The instructions are completely in picture form, no written explanation so we did make a few mistakes but were able to back track and correct. The finished product looks great and functions well and has allowed us to use the second bedroom as a dressing room 80% of the time.

Solid, sturdy and does the job great. Saves loads of room and looks amazing. Not the best of instructions. Need to keep an eye on which way the the bed is when building as picture is flipped in manual without saying!! Need at least 3 people to complete in 4 hours, will most likely take longer.
