Ordered this as the closest budget match to my other solid oak lounge furniture. It's not bad for the price, if you look close up you can tell it's oak veneer rather than real solid oak, although the top looks real enough, the backing board looks like laminate but when the case if full of dvds you won't see that anyway. Very solid, very heavy, and generally well built. The drawers and doors fit perfectly Looks just like the photos. I had a few small niggles hence 4 stars. Overall I have to say very happy. Niggles are: - the metal pole that supports the ladder arrived as black metal unlike the picture - the pole was in 2 parts and was actually slightly too long which prevented proper assembly. I had to drill extra space inside the support for it to fit - the screws provided for the top were not long enough in some places and I used my own Finally I should mention that at the top, where the decorative part is, measures over 304cm, so it was an extremely tight for us!.
