Just wow! Super pleased I bought this small double bed frame for my daughters bedroom. Totally gorgeous in our cottage in the middle of renovating. Did have slight problem with a couple of loose knobs on the bedpost corners but they promptly sent out replacements free of charge on the same day of requesting them. Nice bed, looks the part. I was lured by the look and the price. It’s primarily painted MDF so if looking for a sturdier wooden bed, this isn’t it. You get what you pay for. Be warned- you have to construct the whole bed from scratch. I’d hoped the headboard and footboard would’ve been pre-built as with other beds I’d previously purchased, alas it was not. Matching buttoned footboard and attractive silver feet complete the design.Featuring quality gas lift pistons, the large storage area can be easily accessed enabling a large variety of items to be tidily stored away. The mechanism is set for side opening and can be constructed for either side to open. The base is covered with a black fabric cloth so stored items are not in contact with the floor. A lovely bed. I really wanted a faux leather otterman but which didn't have a stupidly large headboard that was an inch chick. This is much more stylish. The only downside was that the base is a thin sheet which velcros on. Could do with something a little more substantive also need to be careful when closing that the bed hasn't shifted into a mild rhombus shape, otherwise the closing frame can catch the side and take a chunk out of the leather.
