Masterbuilt - Gravity Series™ 800 - Digital Charcoal BBQ and Smoker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my Gravity Series 800 for about a year and it’s been a workhorse. The gravity feed + digital temp control means I get real wood/charcoal flavor but I can set it and actually hang out with family instead of hovering over the smoker. Holds temp rock-solid even on long brisket cooks. The griddle insert is a nice bonus. I have even added the pizza oven attachment and have made some fire pies on it that my family always begs for more. Assembly took some time, but the cooks make up for it. Highly recommend if you want offset smoker taste with pellet-grill convenience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picked it up two years ago and have been very happy with it - the indirect heat and ability to maintain constant set temps are a game changer. My one gripe is that they should've made it a little easier to start - others allow for small gas tanks instead of starters to get grills going. But that's a small price to pay for what it offers.

Love the fact that I can use this as a smoker and a grill, and I can use my preferred charcoal rather than pellets. Six months in and the proprietary power supply failed. I may end up converting this to a wall wart that I can get most anywhere, but let's see what the warranty covers first.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the 800 Series for almost two years now, and haven't had any issues with it. We use it often for grilling and smoking. I can fit three 10+ lb pork butts on it without any issue for smoking. The griddle surface is large and fantastic. It is also easy to use. The only knock against Masterbuilt is that the iPhone app rarely works well, but it works on y iPad with no problem. This isn't a big deal for me as I just keep the iPad close to me and use it to see what's going on with the grill.
