Seems to be an online vendetta against Char Broil with a lot of very negative reviews here and on Facebook. I'm very happy with my evolve. You'll need to actually clean the grates and plates, take care to cover the BBQ in summer and store in a non humid place over winter, and you might find a small temperature variation across the cooking surface due to the pattern of the heating element. But within those "limitations" mainly due to the laws of physics, I think the evolve electric is a great product for people that don't want to cook outside but don't like gas or charcoal. It's not just "an oven outside" which I see written disparagingly across the internet. I especially enjoy the large cooking area which is the largest I could find with an electric BBQ, and the traditional BBQ cooking style which is a lot better than other electric BBQ grill plates I've tried..
