You get what you pay for springs to mind.. this cheap bed. Built it today and feels sturdy enough but slats on the head board and foot board didnt fit correctly (i know wood will shift a little but this was a low quality product) i ordered a king and the mattress i have is not deep and still covers the entire hight of the footboard. I would say you need a really thin mattress for this bed. Its also very low.

Very sturdy bed. Didn’t take long to make and easily done by one person! Quality is fantastic and is pricing fab! Love the slats being 2 separate pieces and not one long bit! Structurally sound and fits any style room!
