Upholstered Ottoman Storage Bed

The bed came a bit darker than in the photo displayed on Wayfair, but to be "fair", we like a darker shade of grey ;-). The upholstery is well padded and the seams are stitched well. Be prepared to put in the hours if you're building it yourself, took me 3 hours maybe more! But I had 2 breaks, so make sure you have nothing else to do that day and a long playlist and get to work.

Gorgeous sturdy and great quality. Took awhile to assemble but it went smoothly and is a great purchase.

Lovely looking bed. Exactly like the picture. Smooth operation of the drawers. Instructions could be better. It’s just pictures, no words and they are in the wrong order.

Boxes were dropped in mud prior to delivery staining the sections of bed. It took 5 hours to make up and although comfortable not worth the price

Nice but …….not quite what it seems. Firstly this bed took over 3 hours to make and I am a reasonable handyman. There are about 30 pieces of wood to put together and a hundred screws - and of course the instructions are terrible, so you waste time redoing sections because you have put one panel in upside down, and the illustration shows two parts of a slide mechanism for the drawers, but you can only find one part in the box. Until you realise that the two parts are actually already joined together in the box, and need to be separated. Thanks for the insight , dear instructions. Plus fitting the headboard was a two man job to get it just right. But the main issue is the fabric. In the photos it looks great, but in reality it is a hard, course blue grey that is quite rigid and makes a noise when you are in contact with it, not the sort of smooth feel you want on a bed. This is a real shame, because once made, the bed looks and with its four drawers is quite practical. Wayfair - I suggest you provide a realistic 'Time to Make' in your product descriptions. It will reduce customer frustrations and people returning goods to you ! ( I was tempted, especially given the price of the bed!)
