Lemaire Upholstered Bed

We were very lucky to have £1000 of lifestyle vouchers to spend and have waited till we needed something particular to use them on. We have decorated our bedroom and wanted to chose a new bed frame. I have been looking for several months and found a bed i liked on Wayfair, so decided to swap £850 into wayfair vouchers to use. We ordered the bed, and first up there was a mess up in delivery , we weren't able to chose a slot to our convenience and had to take what was offered. Then they cancelled it on the morning to a week later. Finally got the bed Friday 4th July and started to unpack it the Sunday to assemble. First box we unpacked one of the side struts were cracked which meant the smooth outer lacquered edge was cracked too. Husband checked the other side strut which was slightly cracked on the inside and whist the outside wasn't cracked there was a feint mark showing through the lacquer , which you just knew as soon as it had weight on it would crack. Was not happy for an £850 bedframe!!! Asked to return it which they arranged after first trying to get us to have a replacement . Now they are saying that as i paid on vouchers , we have to have £850 on credit, and have to spend it on something else. I am furious as this now means I cant chose another bed elsewhere and am going to have to spend the £850 on things not really needed just to use them up. They are saying nothing they can do and refuse to do anything other than the credit. Customer service is none existence.

Extremely disappointed the fact the headboard was sealed in plastic that you couldn’t get off! It took hours to pick the plastic off on a £700 bed! That is not what you’d expect. The bed looked good but this can’t be removed and makes it look cheap and untidy.
