Port Mahon Solid Wood Bed

This bed needed a certain degree of self assembly which normally doesn’t worry me as I’m competent at DIY. However I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the wooden sprung slats. They were roughly sawn and left with ‘splintery’ ends which made it almost impossible to fit into the unforgiving plastic retainers. Many splinters later I sanded all the ends down and added a slight chamfer and rounded the corners. Some two hours later the bed was assembled successfully. The bed is actually a good, solid, quality unit and worthy of five stars but for this shoddy lapse I quality I award 4 stars. I hope someone at Wayfair takes notice and sorts out an improvement.

Poor quality especially for the price first night sleep I woke up on the floor this is what I’m left with under mattress and I’m a small 50kg woman.

We bought this bed frame for our guest bedroom, it is very good quality, easy to put together and looks lovely!

Big in real life but very handsome bed.

I have purchased from Wayfair in the past and l have always been happy with the quality. The bed l have is still to be built up as lm waiting to move house but l have looked at it and it’s looks good.
