Very easy to assemble once you get the hang of it and it’s pretty straightforward but you definitely need another person to help

I bought the small double frame/ A lot of modern self-assembly furniture has clearly labelled parts and fixings. With this frame you have to identify the parts from quite poorly drawn illustrations. All the bolts are in a blister pack with the size and quantity on the card. The instructions reference them by letter, so you need to flick back and forth through the instructions to identify the correct fitting. After that, assembly is quite straightforward. There are two small side support poles - one tightens up properly but then doesn't reach the floor. The second doesn't tighten up at all. It reaches the floor but still offers no additional support. The central support rod, does at least have adjustable height feet. Once assembled, the bed itself looks very smart. I have a 21cm thickness mattress - which is the recommended thickness - yet sitting on the bed is similar to sitting in a deckchair. Compared to the bed it replaces, this one is around 15cm lower. I might get used to it, or more likely I will put blocks under the feet to raise the bed. Lying down on it, the bed does provide a firmer nd stable platform for the mattress and allows for a good night's sleep.
