I ordered the bed on Monday afternoon and it was delivered by Wednesday morning! Excellent speedy service. The bed was delivered in 4 boxes and there was a lot of pieces but please don't let this put you off. The instructions were easy to follow. The items were all clearly marked with numbered stickers. Bought for our 3 year old as his first big boys bed. With a 18cm mattress on the top, and a 16cm on the bottom, the top of the top mattress is around 72cm (28") from the ground, so quite high, but he can climb up unaided. You would struggle to get much more than a 16cm on the trundle bed and still slide underneath. The bed is of very high quality, I have assembled much flat pack furniture over the years, but this was amongst the highest quality, a simple test being the under bed drawers are 4 solid pieces of pine, dowelled, glues and screwed together. I found my 3 year old jumping inside a drawer and it was still perfectly fine. furniture The colour in the Photo accurately translated to the colour of the bed that we received. Came in 3 boxes, 1 for the trundle (~40kgs) and 2 smaller boxes for the main bed (head and foot boards in 1, and the sides in the other). Simple to assemble on my own with just the provided allen key and a screw driver (power screwdriver helpful, but not essential). It took me around 3 hours including dissembling and removing the old cotbed, so i guess around the 2-2.5 hours for this whole bed including trundle (which takes most of the time due to number of parts). The trundle completely separates from the main bed, and slides easily on the castors (even with a deep pile carpet).
