The pull-out trundle features castors for ease of use and can be used in either the flat or upright position. Sprung slatted bases give natural bounce, adjusting to where most pressure is exerted and providing greater comfort. The maximum mattress height to be used for this frame and trundle is 160 mm. The maximum load baring for the Buxton bed is 120kg. Please note: Birlea beds are only suitable for a UK standard size mattress.

Dreadful bed. If I hadn’t have had a guest due to stay I would have sent it straight back. There was absolutely no way the fixings for the bed slats would snap into place, if you pressed too hard they broke. Perfect spare bed for guests. Like the combination headboard/footboard which keeps the mattress in place. Also, like that there is no middle rail which makes other brand's foldable beds very uncomfortable - particularly looked for that there is no middle cross rail under the mattress. Appalling quality. Countless splits in the wood. No edges have been sanded so lots of splinters while assembling. Took me (a qualified carpenter) over 4 hours to get together. Also to top it off there were some screw holes missing and some that don't line up. Also pretty much all of the joints don't tighten up nicely. If no star was an option i wouldhave chosen. DO NOT BUY! Very bad insructions to put together but we had already opened it and started building so could not return. Also my husband is quite the handy man so was able to do other with his tools over a couple of days. Not like the usual flat pack furniture where holes etc are already made, and quite flimsey… worried about the weight of mattress. also will only fit a small single mattress. Tellls you somewhere in description but you have to look for it. Unfortunately we didn’t see till after and are in process of exchanging the standard single mattress that we had ordered.
