Added a lick of paint as it is very glossy white! Its not that hard to put together - took me 2 (slightly stressful but manageable) hours on my own (Im not Ian, Im his much smaller wife!) but... the screws for the drawer rails are completely wrong, as another reviewer has said. They are holding them in place but catch opening and closing the drawer as you cant screw them in completely so will have to find some that work. Dont know how long it will last, and I think it is a lot of money for what it is, but couldnt find anything similar elsewhere - needed the shallowness but also a proper desk to pull out, not just the keyboard drawer.
