The two item were of a differing finish standards and if I was to speculate one item was still wet when boxed up. That said, the quality and construction process are outstanding. The the seat can be removed and stored either indoors or vertically in the frame. Its really lovely. It took a bit of putting together. I found the easiest way was to slot the seat together then turn it over and rest it on the v corner of the kitchen table, then attach the legs. You have to make sure the 3 seat panels that make up the back of the seat, are the correct way up as its easy to place them upside down, the slim end should go to the top of the seat. The top brace bit is the tension holding all the seat together and so the legs don't spray out all over (like Bambie!) I unfortunately put them in upside down at first lol, and couldn't understand why the screw holes where in the wrong place. Anyway after much faffing (and a few obscenities) I got it together.
