Good quality mattress, comfortable and looks good too. the cover is tight to get on but it holds its shape really well. the cover is also water-resistant and is good enough that when my puppy knocked his bowl of water off the side of the crate the mattress insert was not wet at all. the cover washed nicely and looked good when put back on.. Having read the other reviews, we decided to take a gamble on these beds - buying dog beds always feels like a gamble, how long they'll last, will the dogs trash them, will they wash well etc. I have to say though that they are very well made, look great, and the dogs LOVE them, they certainly keep their body heat within the bed, and protect from all external drafts. In fact they love them so much they didn't want to get up on Christmas morning to open their presents, far too snug ( see photo).
