I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this cabinet. It's not solid wood but it feels and weighs like solid wood, and the color and size is exactly right for my Mexican-themed Sun Room. P.S. Some earlier reviewers commented on "doors not staying shut" and similar. All I would like to say is that it is fairly difficult to correctly hang hinged cupboard doors. Try as you might, it seems one side is always uneven. Just persevere and hang the doors perfectly straight and in line with each other . . . it took me four or five attempts spread out over two hours to get them right, but I'm a skinny little old lady with COPD, and ALL of my chores could be done by my ex-husband in a very few minutes.
