One of the plates had a blemish and a scrape in the glaze. I kept the set because the rest of the plates are really nice and I can just use the blemished one as spare. I have no doubt that Wayfair would have changed the whole set if I wanted but I’m happy with it. I would definitely recommend the plates, these manufacturing faults are very rare. All four plates were smashed inside the packaging. There was no bubble wrap, just a thin piece of cardboard separating each plate. When I picked up the box it rattled, so I knew the contents were broken before I opened it. The design of the plates, being heavy pottery, makes them more vulnerable to chipping and breaking, so the packaging should be revised.
