The reason I bought this set and its main selling point is that the strainer goes inside the pan. However it doesn't reach all the way to the bottom, so to make the water reach any decision level in the strainer the pan has to be almost brimming. So I no have to heat a ton of water. Size in pictures is misleading, the steamer isn't that large at all. Disappointed.
