I like the shorter size as it fits better in my kitchen and the flatbed design means you can easily buy spare square or rectangular oven trays. The microwave function works well and the interior is very easy to clean. The roasting function is not as quick as my previous model (NN-CT56JB) and the timer is less easy to use. The interior light is poor. Altogether I preferred the use of and results from my previous non-flatbed model.

I've not had it long hence the 4 Stars because I have not used all the features yet but it seams similar to the previous model which I've had for a number of years. The new model has a much brighter display and I find the buttons a bit brighter too.It does require more button presses to do the same as on the old model, but that's no hardship. I haven't used the cleaning program yet but that could be good after I have cooked my smoked fish. Getting rid of the control nob is probably the reason for having to press more buttons but that was a little vulnerable l did catch it a few times when taking dishes out of the oven. I use 2 Panasonic microwave ovens in my kitchen so I will be replacing my other Panasonic too soon because I think the newer model is more efficient and I prefer the design as well.

We bought this microwave a couple of months back. We are really happy with it. Why anyone puts up the rotating plate and ring of conventional microwaves is beyond me. All that fiddling and cleaning. Flatbed is sooo much easier. Reading the reviews I can see that the control pad could be a bit dark in a dimly lit kitchen but ours has average daylight and it’s fine. And yes you have to go through a few taps to set times etc. But my husband and I have come back to Panasonic and we are happy. We find it’s loads quieter than our previous Sharp and cooks much more evenly. The Panasonic build quality is good and the price was reasonable. We think it’s a good microwave. Haven’t yet explored the energy saving cooking mode.

Solid and well built it’s easy to clean and looks great in our kitchen. It’s bigger than our last microwave but doesn’t appear as large as we might have expected. Display is easy to use, and buttons and wipe clean. Not an issue so far but have noted that the lamp inside the cooking compartment isn’t terrifically bright
