No instructions, if you want to shorten the cable it's not easy to decipher the cores as there all the same colour but a little bit of string running through 2 of the cores. I had to bell the wires out to find out which was which. Then you have to put a hook into the ceiling to fit the light instead of securing into a base plate or bracket. Hard to get it to sit flush.
