The roots have been excavated out of the ground from The National Indonesian Eco Programme, which encourages regrowth of forests and promotes sustainable livelihoods for local people. These tables are very similar to the one found on BBC's Saturday Kitchen television show on Saturday mornings.

This table is absolutely beautiful. It would seat 4 or 5 very comfortably, and probably 6 at a squeeze. However, just three months after purchase, it has developed stress-related cracks at the points where the limbs of the roots branch off from each other, extending into the base. I am worried that it will snap in half, letting the glass fall and shatter. Wayfair are sending a replacement base: hopefully this will turn out just to have been a weak specimen, and the new one will be fine - I will update this review in a few months if so.
