It is beautiful and exactly as described. I would call it a mat rather than a rug, however that does not detract in any way from its look. I have had lots of people admiring it, partly due I think to how unusual it looks. I can't comment on durability as I've only had it a couple of weeks. I'm hopeful that the very competitively priced insurance I purchased with it will hopefully not be required. Highly recommend this product.
