The quality of this deck box is very good and it looks even better. The size is perfect for my small screened-in patio. I took off two stars for two things assembly and sturdiness. The assembly wasn’t altogether terrible. The holes for the screws didn’t line up perfectly, but that’s the case for most things and I was still able to finagle it in order to get the screws to go all the way in. The major issue I had was with getting the gas spring to connect to the box. It was AWFUL. First of all, the instructions give no direction on how to fit the spring to the box. I sat there looking at it for a good ten minutes trying to figure it out. Once I did, then came the really hard part. The attachment on the box and lid are these spherical pieces and the place they attach on the spring has a metal bit that is suppose to keep the spring secure on the sphere. The problem is, getting the sphere to get past the metal bit was near impossible! It literally took me an hour and a half just to do that part! I was able to get one side on after about 20 mins. For the other side, I couldn’t get it to go on at all. I ended up using some pliers to dig the metal part out and connected it without the metal. It works perfectly fine without it! As for the sturdiness, I just wish the lid was more solid. I was hoping to be able to use this as storage as well as extra seating. There is no way a person could sit on top of the box without it caving in. Other than that, I do like it a lot!

This looks just like featured. After assembly, I put it outside. The first major rain that happened I felt good my outside cushions were protected. A few days later I wanted to put the cushions back on the chairs and found two inches of water in the bottom. How is that possible?

Easy to put together. I reinforced the top with ply wood so it can be used as seating. Great product.

It looks great in my space and can hold a good bit of items. There’s a liner inside too that seems waterproof.

I love the box once it was finally put together, but it took two people over three hours to get this box together and the directions were far from adequate. We never could get the piece that held the lid open to work.

It would have been virtually impossible to assemble this box with the Allen wrench that was enclosed. Some of the holes did not match up well and if I did not have a drill, I would never have gotten it together. Some of the pieces were a little warped which also made assembly more difficult. With that said, I liked the box after I finally got it together. My cushions are too large for the lid to close but I thought I had measured correctly. But it is on my screened in porch and it is staying there

I like the deck box especially the liner.
