1000 Thread Count Superking Sateen Pillowcase

I bought two of these pillowcases but am very disappointed with them and wish I hadn't bought them! They aren't 'sateen' and are more like 200 threadcount than 1000. I was looking for a replacement for the silk pillowcases I had previously, which were falling apart, and thought these would fit the bill. Unfortunately I took the advice on the packaging and washed them before using them - thinking that the starchy feel would soften with washing - but it hasn't and I won't be using them. A complete waste of money!
