This flat sheet is made of Pima cotton percale, Pima cotton is woven from longer fibers than standard cotton making it luxuriously smooth & soft to the touch.
I've just washed, ironed and put one of my new sheets on my bed today. The colour is fine, the size is fine, and it was easy to iron.
This is the first time I've bought sheets made of cotton percale, which feels nice and smooth, and seems nice to sleep on. However it is rather cool to touch, and slippery to handle. Strictly speaking, this is not a criticism of the product as such, but I think I prefer plain cotton to this.
My criticisms are to do with the manufacture of the sheet (presumably the others I bought will be of the same standard). It was not properly "square cut", with at least two opposite sides being of different lengths - making it troublesome to fold the sheet evenly for ironing. I expect they might had been difficult to make, because of the fabric being so slippery. Also, as the length of the sheet turned out to be too short for my bed, and the width massively too wide, I had to put it on the bed sideways to fit. That way round, the sheet works well, with plenty all round for tucking in round the mattress.
I chose these sheets for their size and colour and the fact that they were made of a type of cotton, hoping that I'd like them well enough. In the end, they will do. I'm happy enough with them. I just can't give them 5 stars. Maybe the price reflects the quality?. Rae. Portree, GB. Thu Jan 27 2022
