Not perfect but still very good. from Peterborough, on 21/06/15 – Verified Buyer
As all my previous purchases had arrived on time I was surprised when this didn't. However, when I checked my email I discovered that UPS had delivered it to a local pick-up point and not left a card to say they had done this. Picking it up from there was straightforward so this wasn't a problem. The hot tray heats up quickly and does stay hot for around an hour. It doesn't get very hot around the edges though. There was a small scratch on the top but as it will be covered up by dishes, and I think it will probably get scratched anyway, I wasn't too bothered about it. I'm glad I bought it as it will be useful.

A great product but buy the largest size! from Northumberland, on 06/01/15 – Verified Buyer
A very attractive well made sturdy hot tray with comfortable handles for carrying. It is ideal as an extra plate and food heater in the kitchen. It is attractive enough to be put in the middle of a large dining table at a dinner party to keep food hot for 'seconds' and being cordless as well is a great advantage The larger size, which I bought, is big enough to heat a pile of dinner plates and two vegetable serving dishes or three vegetable dishes, or two vegetable dishes and a gravy and sauce boat. The serving dishes shown in this picture must be very small. I'm delighted with my hot tray and would recommend it. It would also make a lovely gift.

Very pleased! from BIDEFORD, on 06/01/15 – Verified Buyer
Good size and efficient heating - excellent for take-away FOIL containers so everybody can help themselves from the centre of the table.

Cordless Hot Tray from Maidstone UK on 21/02/11
On the whole, I'm glad I bought it and it does what it says - it does hold the heat for an hour. Downside points: - as others say, it does scratch very easily - one use and one big scratch! But then the dishes cover it, so who worries when there's lots of good food, wine and talking about? Another problem I did not envisage, is that it is very bulky and it does rather dominate the table even though mine is quite large. I had intended to keep it plugged in in the kitchen and just carry it in when I served the main course. As I set the table, it became obvious that this would not work - it is heavy and bulky and there was no way I was going to try to lift it in after the cold starter, in amongst wine glasses etc - especially as I aimed to be drinking some of that wine myself - recipe for scattered wine glasses! So I left it in place in the centre of the table, unplugged and with nothing on it, while we ate our first course. This took longer than anticipated and with nothing on top to keep warm, it had already lost a fair bit of heat by the time I brought in the meat and vegs - thus it did not stay hot throughout the main course. I'm not sure how best to get round this next time. Either leave everything on the sideboard, or keep it plugged in with the cord between the guests, until ready? Or get brave and keep a steady hand and squeeze it in during the meal?
