Cordless Hot Tray On the whole, I'm glad I bought it and it does what it says - it does hold the heat for an hour. Downside points: - as others say, it does scratch very easily - one use and one big scratch! But then the dishes cover it, so who worries when there's lots of good food, wine and talking about? Another problem I did not envisage, is that it is very bulky and it does rather dominate the table even though mine is quite large. I had intended to keep it plugged in in the kitchen and just carry it in when I served the main course. As I set the table, it became obvious that this would not work - it is heavy and bulky and there was no way I was going to try to lift it in after the cold starter, in amongst wine glasses etc - especially as I aimed to be drinking some of that wine myself - recipe for scattered wine glasses! So I left it in place in the centre of the table, unplugged and with nothing on it, while we ate our first course. This took longer than anticipated and with nothing on top to keep warm, it had already lost a fair bit of heat by the time I brought in the meat and vegs - thus it did not stay hot throughout the main course. I'm not sure how best to get round this next time. Either leave everything on the sideboard, or keep it plugged in with the cord between the guests, until ready? Or get brave and keep a steady hand and squeeze it in during the meal? |

Hostess Tray cordless We were delighted to find the hot tray as we had been looking for one for quite some time. It did what it said it would do but we were horrified to discover that the whole surface was irreparably scratched after its first usage. We examined our dishes and they didn't seem to be rough or damaged. We are extremely disappointed! |

Always wanted one of these!!!!! Have used this for a small dinner party, and it was absolutely fantastic, kept everything piping hot, just wanted we needed :) Only thing I have noticed is that it has scratched already on the hotplate, but hopefully that will not deter from its performance next time. |

Nice product - we use it often We use this often to keep dishes warm on the middle of the table. Its surprising how hot it keeps things actually. The centre has the most heat, with less at the sides. Its quick to warm up, and lasts very well. Very handy being cordless - just unplug it when it has warmed up and carry it to the table. |
