Perhaps most recognisable design, Strawberry Thief draws inspiration from the thrushes that would sneak under Morris’ strawberry nets in the garden of Kelmscott Manor. This charming scene, beautifully captured in a printed cotton, depicts the birds pecking at ripe strawberries. This blackout lined, pencil pleat curtain is printed in rich and vibrant green shades and warm burnt orange and cream tones, further enriching its versatility and timeless appeal.

We had a great admiration for rivers, from the humble stream that passed by Kelmscott Manor to the great River Wandle that he used to dye his textiles at Merton Abbey. From 1883 Morris began designing a series of gently flowing patterns named after tributaries of the River Thames. The Lodden pattern is part of this series, named after the River Loddon, that flows through Berkshire and Hampshire. In rich deep blue and olive-green tones, the Lodden eyelet curtains are printed onto a beautiful 100% cotton Panama base and finished with a beautiful, printed lining, featuring Morris’ iconic Willow Bough design.
